What Guests Think About the Washington Jefferson Hotel in NYC

Quiet hotel, really clean, great staff, and great location. The rooms are a bit of a tight fit, but I am not sure what else you'd expect in NYC. Our only complaint was the heat. We had to leave a window open at night as it just got way too hot

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Fatima gave us a great list of nearby restaurants with cuisine from all over the world. All her picks were great! The room was a bit small since it is an older building but was fine for my mother and I to share. We opted for the courtyard room so it would be quieter and that was mostly true. I am sure it was quieter than the street side room. The heat is via radiator and is controlled for the whole building so the first day it was very warm, especially for February, so we cracked open the window for some cool air. Two days later we definitely had to close the window because it got cold. Not good for people who like to adjust their room thermostats outside the norm or who have a narrow temperature range. The hotel is very convenient to many places of interest and only 2 blocks from a subway stop
