    Times Square sits at the center of the NYC Theater District, beginning at 42nd Street, between Broadway and Seventh Avenue, through 47th Street. Landmarks like Duffy Square and the TKTS booth can be found between 46th and 47th Streets, which is a pedestrian-only plaza and about a five-minute walk from the WJ Hotel.
  • Do I have to pay the costumed characters in Times Square?

    Tipping the costumed characters in Times Square is up to your discretion, but if you want to take a photo with them, you are expected to tip. Remember that these characters are not licensed or regulated and to contact the NYPD or a Times Square Security Officer if they act aggressively.
